President Muhammadu Buhari has on July 29 appointed five new heads of thestrategic institutions in Nigeria

— Bashir Ahmad (@BashirAhmaad)July 29, 2016 The heads are: the Centre for Disease Control, National Agency for the Controlof Aids, the Nigerian Institute for Medical Research.Others are, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and NationalHealth Insurance Scheme.The new appointees are:NIMR – Prof Babatunde SalamiNACA – Dr Sani AliyuNHIS – Prof Usman Yusuf.
NPHCDA – Prof Echezona EzeanolueCDC – Dr Chikwe Andreas IhekweazuAll the five appointments have already taken effect.1. The head of the CDC, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, was the managing partner at EpiAfric, a public health consultancy firm that focuses on Africa.
