We've seen kids react to stuff. We've seen old people react to stuff. Now it's time to see how robots react when you show them a scary movie trailer.
In this video, two very different robots, one designed for performing and one for scientific research, watch the creepy trailer for "Morgan", a new sci-fi horror film about a creepy child with strange gifts. The flick's all-star cast includes Kate Mara, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Paul Giamatti and "Game of Thrones" star Rose Leslie. It's the debut feature by Luke Scott, the son of legendary auteur Ridley Scott.

The first robot is Edi (short for Electronic Deceptive Intelligence), developed by MagicLab.nyc, a tech company founded by illusionist Marco Tempest. Edi, which appears on stage performing magic tricks with Tempest, makes its reaction clear with expressive facial features on a screen.
The reaction of the second robot is harder to read, although it has a much better backronym. FACE (that's Facial Automaton for Conveying Emotions) is a human-like visage developed by the E Piaggio Research Centre at the University of Pisa, Italy. The artificial skull is covered by a skin made of Frubber, a silicone-based material designed by Hanson Robotics to be flexible enough to allow subtle human-like movements.
"Morgan" is in theatres in the UK and US on 2 September, and in Australia on 17 November.
