Nigeria has literally been on a life support.  We have never existed as a country. People call us the giant of Africa. But of what use is a prophet who is dumb? Whenever we come close to realizing our dreams, one group springs up surprises and holds us to ransom. Were Nigeria a speedy train, I would have opted to alight at thenearest station.   “It is better for us and many admirers abroad that we should disintegrate in peace and not in pieces. Should the politicians fail to heed the warning, then I will venture the prediction that the experience of the Democratic Republic of Congo will be a child’s play if it ever comes to our turn to play such a tragic role.” Who could have guessed that the above statement was made by Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe in 1964. He knew we had no nationalist but ethnic nationalists who formed an exclusive power clubto remain the chief executives of this company called a Nigeria. When you look at Nigeria, what do you see? Rosy future? No way! Nigeria looks like an expanding empire of the unknown. Has there ever been a moment of respite in this country since amalgamation?  We have always moved from one siege to another. If it is not tribalism and corruption, it will be ethnic pogrom. If it is not bloody civil war, it will be military overlordship. If it is not civil disturbance, it will beleadership rascality. What have we not had as a country? We have exhausted all catalogues of socio-economic, political sins and religious sacrilege than can befall a country. The Fulani herdsmen have tormented us undisturbed; and President Buhari said they have been there with their troubles even before we were forced into anunholy marriage called Nigeria. Boko Haram is taking the country back to Stone Age, wasting lives with joy and boast. The country’s Armed Forces are no better. Under orders from our oppressors, they play ethnic script and pound innocent people agitating for their freedom from  the zoo empire.  When I watch Rochas Okorocha arrogating to himself the nationalist spirit when he cannot pay his workers, when I see him equating himself to the likes of Nelson Mandela, when I see him claiming the oratory he does not have, I become more convince that our leaders are clowns. In a video that has gone viral, a young man from Imo State in the second week ofMarch 2016 confronted Okorocha when he had stood to rattle his usual lies and made Okorocha a shadow of himself. He called Okorocha a liar demanding why he killed his parents and siblingswhile claiming to a leader. Like Rochas, most Nigerians are in denial about what is going on and some are too intimidated and cowardly to acknowledge the problem let alone to speak out or to attempt to resist it. The failure of elites to question the reason behind Nnamdi Kanu’s detention in a country where freedom of speech is enshrined in its constitutions is quite disturbing. More chilling is a situation where masquerades have been called to testify against him. We wouldn’t have been more bothered if people were not to have got away with statements too injurious to our national unity. While Boko Haram onslaught is going on amidst media propaganda of both the army relations and the lying Ministry of Information, the activities of the Fulani herdsmen have dominated national discourse. The Agatu killing will just remained us that Nigerians are not equal. If Nigerians are equal, it must be in the sense of George Orwell’s Animal Farm where some animals are more equal than others. Like Boxer, the Fulani have demonstrated in words and deeds that they own the country. Which tribecould have committed what the Fulani did in Agatu community of Benue State and gone free? Keep in mind that the killers are not on the run, they still carry their sophisticated weapons unmolested. The security operatives sent to arrest the perpetrators are either dining with theirraw milk or marrying their virgins. What else could have any of them done when the president is a Fulani? Animal farm! In his another master piece, “Sons of Futon Jalon (Part 2)” Femi Fani Kayode has asked Nigerians to reflect on the acidic hate but boastful interview of Alhaji Aliyu Gwarzo, a prominent Fulani leader from Kano to Pointblanknews Magazine on October 2, 2014 in order to understand the moment we are. In the interview the Alhaji boasted: ”when I say that the Presidency must come to the north next year I am referring to the Hausa-Fulani core north and not any northern Christian or Muslim minority tribe. The Christians in the north such as the Berom, the Tiv, the Kataf, the Jaba, the Zuru, the Sayyawa, the Bachama, the Jukun, the Idoma and all the others are nothing and the muslim minorities in the north, including the Kanuri, the Nupe, the Igbira, the Babur, the Shuwa Arabs, the Marghur and all the others know that when we are talking about leadership in the north and in Nigeria, Allah has given it to us, the Hausa-Fulani. “They can grumble, moan and groan as much as they want but each time they go into their bedrooms to meet their wives and each time they get on their prayer mats to begin their prayers, it is we the Fulani that they think of, that they fear, that they bow to and that they pray for. “Some of them are even ready to give us their wives and daughters for one nights sport and pleasure. They owe us everything. This is because we gave them Islam through the great Jihad waged by our father the great Usuman DanFodio. “We also captured Ilorin, killed their local King and installed our Fulani Emir. We took that ancient town away from the barbarian Yoruba and their filthy pagan gods. We liberated all these places and all these people by imposing Islam on them by force. “It was either the Koran or the sword and most of them chose the Koran. In return for the good works of our forefathers Allah, through the British, gave us Nigeria to rule and to do with as we please. Since 1960 we havebeen doing that and we intend to continue. “No Goodluck or anyone else will stop us from taking back our power next year. We will kill, maim, destroy and turn this country into Africa’s biggest war zone and refugee camp if they try it. “Many say we are behind Boko Haram. My answer is what do you expect? We do not have economic power or intellectual power. All we have is political power and they want to take even that from us. “We must fight and we will fight back in order to keep it. They have brought in the infidels from America and the pigs from Israel to help them but they will fail. The war has just begun, the Mujaheddin are more than ready and by Allah we shall win. “If they don’t want an ISIS in Nigeria then they must give us back the Presidency and our political power. Their soldiers are killing our warriors and our people every day but mark this: even if it takes one hundred years we will have our revenge. “Every Fulani man that they kill is a debt that will be repaid even if it takes 100 years. The Fulani havevery long memories". What more can one say? No one is at sea as to what is happening. While Alhaji Gwarzo moves freely, we have got to ask what crime did Nnamdi Kanu commit that only the masquerades can testify against him. If Agatu community still awaits justice, well it may be in the manner we have been told that Jesus iscoming very soon for more than 2000 years. Nigeria belongs to the Fulani and any person claiming membership has either been enslaved or adopted. Alhaji Gwarzo spoke the mind of his brothers and on how the state of the nation has got to remain. Our choice is either to continue to endure or shout out our existence. This is a Fulani empire not Nigeria.
