On July 15th, 2015, the Federal Government Nigeria came up with their usual propaganda that Radio Biafra has been jammed according to the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Information Dr Yemi Folasade-Esan. She said “We also gave a report on (Radio Biafra) that right now, the signals from Radio Biafra have been jammed. The NBC is also working with security operatives to get those behind that radio because it is an illegal radio. It is not licensed by anybody to be on Nigeria’s airwaves.” On the same issue, the then Director-General of National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Mr. Emeka Mba said the commission has stopped the transmission of the signals of Radio Biafra. These were his words "Working with security operatives, the commission has also tracked down, neutralized and confiscated transmitter equipment from several locations in the region and the operators of the Radio has been arrested" All these lies were cooked up to siphon huge amount of money from President Buhari. On 15th of March, 2017 the same NBC came up with another propaganda that NBC moves to stop importation of mobile transmitters by secessionist groups. This is its verbatim statement “The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), on Wednesday expressed determination to stop importation of mobile transmitters by non-state, secessionist groups, who are using it to broadcast anti-national propaganda" The Director-General of the Commission, Malam Is’haq Modibbo-Kawu made the disclosure while briefing newsmen at the National Headquarters of the commission in Abuja. According to him, there is national security issue involved in the importation of mobile transmitters. “There are mobile transmitters being imported by non-state, secessionist groups, who are using these transmitters to broadcast anti-national, propaganda. “This is part of their effort to de-legitimize our country and propagate hate as well as secessionist propaganda, he said. He said one of the issues facing NBC was the clash of frequencies all over country, adding that City-based FM radio stations are permitted under the terms of their licenses to install 2KW transmitters. “That way, it is possible for NBC to repeat frequencies in various cities around Nigeria. But what has been happening is that stations go to purchase and install transmitters beyond the power that they were initially allocated. Over 90 stations with such transmitters installed beyond their capacity have been identified across Nigeria" Modibbo-Kawu said. I believe the Director-General of NBC, Malam Is’haq Modibbo-Kawu is not referring to Radio Biafra because Radio Biafra is not an illegal Radio station and IPOB is not a secessionist group. He should go to his dictionary and found out the meaning of secessionist group(s). It is too late for them, no matter how they try. Radio Biafra will continue to broadcast and I will advise them to go and mind their businesses and stop going after the station because no man born or woman can stop Radio Biafra and even the stopping of imported transmitters is a waste of time as Biafrans are capable of manufacturing local transmitters that are better than the imported ones. Biafrans did it during the civil war and have retained the technology till date. They should have said that they are ashamed of themselves because Radio Biafra Transmitter is far bigger than the transmitters of all the Radio Stations in Nigeria combined including that of Radio Nigeria and the ones NBC uses. The worst mistake Malam Is’haq Modibbo-Kawu will do is to stop importation of transmitter because of Radio Biafra, he should ask Mr. Emeka Mba what happened to him after being paid heavily by President Buhari to jam Radio Biafra. He is still being humiliated till date by those he fought for. We see as the hands of God using same Nigerians that he fought for to disgrace him for fighting against his people. Currently, the same Buhari who paid him to Stop the Radio Biafra sent EFCC to arrest and humiliate him. Have the jamming of Radio Biafra or buying anti jamming devices stopped Radio Biafra from broadcasting? so if it has not, then banning of importation of mobile transmitters will not stop Radio Biafra.
