The Nigeria police today the 25th of May, 2017 attacked and arrested thirty four members of Indigenous people of Biafra and shot at three persons who went for an Evangelism in Abakaliki the capital city of Ebonyi state.
The Evangelism was the second being organized by the IPOB in the state to enlighten the people of the state about the forth coming sit at home on 30th May, 2017 in honor of all the Biafra fallen heroes and heroines, recall that a similar insident took place on 22nd at Ohaukwu LGA where the state IPOB went for an Evangelism on a similar note, where Nigeria police arrested some members of IPOB and was later released unconditionally after some days.
One of the IPOB member who spoke on the condition of anonymity shared more light on what happened during the Evangelism "We started our peaceful evangelism at Vanco junction, near new market road here in Abakaliki and getting to Peace park, the men of Nigeria police came with numbers of their hilux, stopped us and started pushing us into their hilux jeeps, they used teargass on us and shoot at some of our members and many are unconscious"
According to the information gathered, those who sustained various gun injuries among whom is Peter Eze Ifeanyi the Ebony a state IPOB media coordinator were taken to the police clinic in the state while others numbering thirty four are currently under police custody at the state area command.
Indigenous people of Biafra here by put the world on notice that it shall not take it lightly with them should anything happen to its members especially those who sustained degrees of injuries.
